Music | Collections | The Grief Collections
These collections are a reflection of my journey through grief. A journey which continues…. In writing I strove to be “near” the listener. I assumed, rightly as it turns out, that with some exceptions the people who would appreciate these collections would be people who were themselves in grief. Through various means which had very little to do with me, the music worked its way into the world. Slowly I began to receive email from people, most of whom I’ve never met. Generally the messages were brief and many were poignant. A very heartfelt “thanks” to everyone who wrote. reflection and contemplation considers life during and after inexplicable tragedy. Where do we stand and with whom? How do we move forward? Even in a crowd can we avoid noticing the solitary shadow we cast? grieving, like grief itself, is an intensely sad, perhaps depressing collection of songs. No apologies here. Grief is a difficult hole to see from, much less climb out of as the “future seems grim and gray.” Again, I don’t keep up with how many streams or purchases I’ve had, but I was surprised when my year end statement arrived. Don’t get me wrong, BTS doesn’t feel me “coming up” behind them. Far from it. Still, for a semi-competent guy sitting in a small room with a single microphone and a 13 year old computer, it was nice to see. These collections can streamed, purchased, or downloaded at:
